When I first read about the concept behind the Chelsea Collective, a new women’s fitness boutique from Dick’s Sporting Goods that carries brands like Lorna Jane, exclusive gear from Nike, Spiritual Gangster, etc. (check out all the brands here), my first thought was “uhm…hell yeah.” It was an absolute honor to have been invited to the VIP pre-opening party in Washington DC and to get a sneak preview of the store! Not to mention the signature cocktails, the most legit “build a bag” swag bags that introduced me to my new favorite product (hi Evian face spray), and an awesome community of people. You guys if you’re in DC you must check out this store – you.will.love. <3
- Let #boss Lauren tell you all about the store and concept here (at the 10 minute mark) if you don’t feel like readng.
- Imagine a super awesome fit friend of yours who always has the raddest gear putting all of her favorite things in a store. That’s what you’ll find here. 😉 But like for real. I need all the workout tights and comfy tailored hoodies, stat.
- In addition to solid brands, the products/collections themselves are legitimately best. Shout out to the buyer(s) – you know what’s up. Loved checking out the Calia by Carrie Underwood line (community manager Lauren Martinez described the material to me as as “soft and buttery with super a flattering and feminine cut.” Ok yes), Lorna Jane, exclusive gear from Nike (as previously mentioned), bags from Lole, a line that I hadn’t heard of but immediately fell in love with called Zobha, Under Armor, Splendid, should I go on? Hunter boots, gym bag essentials like dry shampoo, hip sunglasses, just everything.
- Other awesomeness includes ballet bars in the fitting rooms, a treadmill so you can see how clothes will actually preform/stretch/etc, and a charging station where you can charge your phone while you shop. Um, genius? They also do bra fittings, complimentary alterations and in-store events.
Thank you for the good times and the sweet swag bag, Chelsea Collective! Guaranteed I’ll be back the next time I’m in DC, and rest assured I’m counting down the days until you open in Minneapolis. 😉
