Sometimes everyone and everything just bugs. Oh hi traffic. Oh hay kids crying at Target. Whyyyy is this person eating an apple so loudly right next to me?? Whatever it may be, here are three links to things that that take seriously no time (well, except for the third but it’s worth it) and help reduce stress and keep your game going strong. They’re second best to spending a week at a yoga retreat in Mexico. 😉 Jk but seriously these are great even if you’re already feeling fabulous and just want a quick moment to reset, refocus, and feel even more awesome.
If you only have a few seconds:
Match your breathing to this oddly beautiful/mesmerizing geometric pattern that grows and shrinks. It has a super calming effect whether you’re stressed or not. I could watch this for hours.
If you have 2 minutes:
Take a 2, 5, 10, 15, or 20 minute vacation to the mountains, beach, lake, or other lovely place via calm.com here. You can choose between a guided meditation or just the nature sounds. It’s hard to pick a favorite but I especially love the non-guided option with the falling rain and the one with the waves rolling onto the beach. They say you’ll discover “how taking a few moments out of your day can make you happier and healthier.” Deal.
If you have 51 minutes:
This recording of “yoga nidra” also known as yogic sleep. It’s seems a little out there at first, but if you have time and can get into it, #2 (the 51 minute version) is pretty rad. They say that one hour of yoga nidra is equivalent to three hours of sleep…soooooo yep sign me up.
