Orlando surprised me with it’s plant-based, healthy, delicious, non-disney food options. I was definitely not expecting to find places with menu items like matcha maca lattes with hemp milk, zucchini noodles with nooch/hemp sauce, chia puddings with raw cashew cream, and hipster coffee shops with really good single origin espresso. Hey what’s up hello, Orlando! Real talk it took some fairly extensive pre-flight research (ha) to find these gems, but there are some super magical places. I’m pumped to share my favorites below.
I hope this list is a helpful guide for all of my foodie soulmates (#squad I’m looking at you) heading to Orlando soon!
My favorites listed in blue ♥
Juice’d Orlando – order the peanut butter acai bowl for that peanut butter drizzle.
♥♥♥ Press’d Juice Bar and Kitchen – This place was a definite highlight. get the “brazil” chia pudding made with locally roasted coffee and raw cashew cream, and a “flu shot” which is a blend of apple cider vinegar, turmeric, and honey. They also have collard green wraps, local kombucha, kombucha smoothies (!!), and a grab-and-go case of vegan, gluten-free, clean ingredient deliciousness. This is inside the Plant Street Market where there are other cute things (wood fired pizza, coffee, etc) to check out.
♥♥♥ Sanctum Cafe – get the matcha maca latte with almond milk, a vegan spirulina cookie, and any of their grain bowls or salads. They also have awesome sides like vegan kimchi and walnut-based falafel.
♥♥♥ Skyebird Juice Bar and Experimental Kitchen – get the “mac and trees” zucchini noodles with nutritional yeast/cashew/hemp “cheese.” If you get it to-go it comes in a mason jar. They also have nut-based veggie burgers (raw) that come with a side of kale chips, a fridge of “acai jars” with house made granola (see my dream fridge photo above), raw cheesecake, and the smoothie list of our dreams. Eat at the bar or on in the cute outdoor garden area.
Lineage Coffee Roasters – get the bottled cold brew as classic cold brew, or get one bottled with almond milk + maple syrup. Apparently their pour overs are also amaze. This is right next to Skyebird in the East End Market.
